The Indoor Navigation Positioning Mobile DSP Beacon w/ IMU & Outdoor Case (Beacon Mini RX) features the Marvelmind Indoor Navigation System designed to provide precise (2cm) location data to autonomous robots, vehicles (AGV), drones and forklifts. It can also be used to track other objects that the mobile beacon is installed upon, for example, virtual reality (VR) systems, helmets for construction workers or miners, jackets, etc.

The ultrasonic microphone is protected with a special IP67 membrane. All internal compartment (electronics, battery) is fully covered by a water- dust-protecting compound. The USB connector is not protected. Thus, it is recommended to install the beacon so that the USB is at the bottom - to minimize the impact on the connector itself because electronics and battery are fully sealed.

Note, the beacon has not received a formal IP67 certification, yet. The IP67 requirements are fulfilled by design and are verified by the water submerging test: placing for 30 min under 1m of water doesn't kill the device.

• Differential precision is on par or better than in the Beacon HW v4.9, partially, because the sensor is a point - not as spread sensors of HW v4.9; and, partially, because of higher processing power and more advanced algorithms of the DSP beacon

Location update rate

• 0.05-25 Hz
• Can be set manually or in automatic mode
• Depends on the distance between the mobile and stationary beacons (shorter distance higher update rate)
• Depends on the number of mobile beacons: for example, update rate of 25 Hz for 1 mobile beacon will result in update rate of 25 Hz/2 for 2 mobile beacons, and 25 Hz/3 - for 3 mobile beacons, etc. - TDMA approach
• Depends on the radio interface profile (500 kbps vs. 38 kbps)

Inverse Architecture:
