Before Red Bull became a Formula 1 powerhouse, there was Sauberthe Swiss-based team known for punching above its weight in the worlds fastest sport. Founded by Peter Sauber, the team made its Formula One debut in 1993, bringing years of endurance racing experience and engineering excellence onto the grid.

During its early years, Sauber F1 Team partnered with iconic engine suppliers such as Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, and Petronas, fielding promising drivers like Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Jean Alesi, Nick Heidfeld, and a young Kimi Rikknen. The team quickly gained respect for its technical capabilities and sleek design ethosstanding tall among manufacturer-backed giants.

In 2005, Sauber entered a new chapter as it was purchased by BMW, becoming BMW Sauber F1 Team, with podium finishes and consistent top-tier performance. But the biggest shift came shortly after BMWs exit in 2009, when Red Bull, having already entered F1 with its main team, repurposed the former Sauber-owned outfit under the name Scuderia Toro Rossonow known as Visa Cash App RB in 2024.

The DNA of todays Red Bull Racing dynasty, and its sister team, traces back to Saubers independent spirit, bold engineering, and relentless pursuit of speed.
